"Burlington Island Pontoon Boat"

I'm a manager on the oldest educational charter still in continuous operation est. 1682 in the entire U.S.A. Our purpose to exist is to "Benefit the education of the children of Burlington City, N.J." We are a non profit 501c3 tax deductible group and all our fund raising has been used to stay in business and support our schools.
It has become very difficult for us thru fund raising to get a boat. As you can see by our plans for the future we need water transportation to get from the mainland Burlington City, to the island which is as close as 350 ft. away. A safe landing craft, "duck boat", pontoon boat, powered barge, ferry boat can all be used as long as it can carry at least 12 visitors at a time convieniently, $15,000. is needed.
Our vistors will consist of school children, bird watchers, nature lovers, day trippers, senior citizens and now our Veteran's. Our visitors can witness many wild animals, birds, fish, trees, plants and now 3 generations of nesting American Bald Eagles call our island home.
The island future plans calls for an authentic Native American village, Dutch Walloon trading post, a fort to defend our city from the British, a Quaker farm, and a smaller replica of the Island Beach Amusement Park. Of course all this will be powered by Green Energy. It will be a walk thru nearly 350 years of island history.
I'm 70 years old and a Disabled Vietnam Veteran, (P.T.S.D.) senior citizen and retired businessman, the island has become my goal in life to bring people to this natural setting. I find the tranquility of the island a helpful treatment for my P.T.S.D. and I'm sure it could help many others too, my V.A. Dr. agrees to this idea.
If we can not raise the funds over the time allotted, all funds will be donated to the "Board Of Island Managers" to continue supporting the school children of our historic town of Burlington City, est. 1677.
This means very much to me and our board and to the people you will help get safely to our island to enjoy the wonders of nature.
