Please help us raise money for Deandre Joshua's funeral. Deandre, at the early age of 20 years old was shot and killed on 24 November 2014. His mother did not have a life insurance policy and we are asking for donations to give him a proper burial. His mother, Maria Joshua, will meet with the funeral home on 28 November 2014, to make funeral arrangements. Everything is moving so fast so any donations will help.

Thank you.

This is Maria's sister, Josie and I would just like to say God is Good!! I also want to thank everyone for your kind words, Love and support during such a traumatic time in our lives. My nephew, Deandre, was a very loving young man. I never seen him yell or stay mad for too long. Him and his twin always kept everyone smiling and laughing. I still can't believe that he is gone. This still seems so unreal to me because I can just see him now joking around or teasing us when we walk through the door. My heart feels so heavy right now and after reading all of your comments, I can truly feel the love just pouring in. I know he doesn't want us hurting and crying but I can't help it. We love you Deandre and again thank you to everyone from everywhere who has shown us nothing but LOVE. God Bless.

My heart goes out to Dont'A. I found myself crying about your twin brother after reading about Deandre's death in the news from Ferguson. I have a twin sister, who is my best friend in the world, and I couldn't imagine what life would be like if she were killed. I think life would go on, but I'm not sure how, really. My heart goes out. Life will go on, Dont'A. Blessings and healing to you.

Thank you, Ms. Ellis. While I don't know anyone involved in this sad loss, this effort to come together to help remove at least one burden from the family shows what peace can accomplish. Strangers joining together to do good. I hope you, your sister and the rest of the family can find comfort.

Osceola Wisconsin--This is a horrible tragedy. I am so sorry and I pray for your family. I won't make this an argument, but in response to Mary below, I have a law enforcement degree. I went through skills training in St. Paul Minnesota, and WE ARE required to take psychology classes and interpersonal communication classes. And I, as well as a number of classmates of mine, went into the field for ONE purpose. That was because I love to HELP people. Obviously NYC does it WRONG, but NOT every dept. in the country does it wrong. Stop prejudging based on your experience. It's not ok to prejudge a whole profession the same as it's not ok to prejudge ANY GROUP. It should say enough that I came on here to donate. It should tell you the type of person I REALLY am. Shame on you Mary for prejudging.

So very sorry for your loss my thoughts to you and your family right now. Things going on there right now makes no sense and how sad for those instead of pulling together to choose to destroy. How very sad it is.

I am still studying so I won't be able to give much, but I wanted you to know that people in Germany stand in solidarity with you and your loved ones. No mother should have to mourn the loss of her child. May Deandre rest peacefully in a place better than this.
