Hello! We are Tom and Maureen Readey. Right now we are in desparate need of help from our friends, family and anyone else who would care enough to help us.
We need funds to help us keep our home, plus lawyer fees. Last year we found out we owed back property taxes. Although we paid some each year, we could not afford the whole sum. It has ballooned to an amount we just can't tackle alone, so we are asking for your help because without it, in a couple short months we will be homeless. We cannot get any kind of loan because we have mom on the deed for life estate.
About us:
Tom is a very hard working family man trying to make ends meet. He holds down 2 jobs taking overtime when offered. He drives a tractor-trailor for the USPS and then drives a school bus for afternoon activities. He is 60.
He is also a proud Vietnam Veteran! Air force....
Maureen is disabled and can no longer work outside the home to help support the family. She sells some crafts and supplies on the internet, ( https://www.etsy.com/shop/Craftin4College ) but its just not enough. After caring for her mother for 20+ years, she now needs your help. She uses a walker and wheelchair to get around and also has diabetes, reduced function kidneys, autoimmune disease with extremely high white blood cell count, high blood pressure, rapid heartbeat, neuropathy, and will most likely need a bypass in the near future. She is also 60.
Our youngest, who just turned 19 Nov.21st (also Toms birthday) is going in her 3rd year of college which is another huge expense. Her grades are great and she even made the deans list. We so much want her to get a good education, but it just keeps getting harder and harder... We are hoping for a better future for her.
As a last resort, we are forced to humbly ask for assistance. This has been Maureens childhood home for the past 53 years and its heartbreaking to watch her suffer over this. No donation is ever to small as everything is a step closer. If you cannot donate in these trying times, please share our site with your friends!
