THE KUTT FACTORY BARBER SHOP
Hello, My name is Tony Bunting of St. Louis, MO. I am
a small business owner of The Kutt Factory Barber and Beauty Salon, which I opened just over a year ago located on West Florisant. My business has been successful and I have been able to give back to the community and within my first year of opening was awarded Business Of The Year from the St. Louis Mayor's Office
Last night my business was vandalized and looted as a result of the Ferguson unrest. My main window was smashed, our six barbers and stylists' equipment was taken along with a TV, radio, dvds and two computer.
I'm truly lost for words with this. I stand with Ferguson in demanding justice. My brother and fellow barber is a resident of Ferguson. It serves no purpose to destroy businesses. I struggled hard and worked everyday to open my own business. I rented a booth and cut hair during the day and worked on refurbishing my business after it had been boarded up for more than 20 years. I repaired the walls. I layed the floor. I painted. I fixed the plumbing. I installed the fixtures. I did all the work at night after working a full day. I could not have been more proud when I was finally able to open and serve customers in the community.
I am devastated to see my business vandalized and looted. I don't know where I'm going to get money for my repairs and equipment. But I'm not going to let this situation discourage me in moving forward with my business. Where there is a will, there is a way!
Please consider making a donation, ANY amount is appreciated.
Thanks Tony Bunting
