SUPPORTING HEF SCHOOLS AROUND HAITI

My name is David Lechter, and I'm sixteen. I'm raising money to help with the recovery efforts from Hurricane Matthew's destruction in Haiti.   I'm especially focused on helping with rebuilding schools and related structures. Hurricane Matthew took the lives of many people, many buildings got destroyed, and many families and children were displaced. After some time after the destruction, schools still need help, like the one in Bainet and Cherident.

The money I raise will be given to Haiti Education Foundation's Disaster Fund.  The Foundation is operated by a network of Presbyterian churches based in the midwest which maintains a direct presence in the island thus guaranteeing efficient use of funds. The funds will be used to rebuild and repair many schools in the mountains of Haiti. Once the rebuilding efforts are finished, funds will be used to add and build libraries in many schools as well.

I'm hoping I can raise money quickly so it can be sent to Haiti as fast as possible. I've always cared about education since I was in a program for children with dyslexia, and I was able to get out of it due to computers, books, and especially teachers. I want to give other kids the same opportunity I had.
