Hurricane Harvey-Austin Pets Alive!

It is time to come together and help the animals who have gone through this horrific experience and the amazing individuals working so hard to keep them safe. We have witnessed so many brave people putting themselves in danger to save the animals who are fighting for their lives or trapped in shelters that are flooding. Although the worst of Hurricane Harvey may have passed, Texas will be healing from this for some time. I know I personally have felt helpless, wishing I could be in the middle of the storm helping the animals that are scared and confused. There is something we can do that will directly impact the animals that have been rescued, the safe places they will now be staying and the animals that still need our help. Please join us in raising money to donate to Austin Animals Alive! Every penny will go to this non kill shelter where they have been taking in HUNDREDS of animals that have been rescued (doubling their normal capacity).
"Many of the shelters we are helping have pregnant, sick, and injured animals that APA! will now be caring for. Some of these shelters are also under-resourced, which means their animals are coming to us with out vaccinations. In order to truly care for these pets, and keep current APA! animals safe, we will likely need to administer mass vaccinations. As the care for these animals won't stop once the hurricane is over, we are considering both short and long-term needs and are in dire need of financial support to be able to do this. Donating will help us save as many lives as possible."

Once the campaign has ended, all funds will be withdrawn by me and personally donated to Austin Pets Alive! They will be using this money to feed, rehome, and protect these rescued animals anyway they see fit. I have no personal relationship with Animal Pets Alive but have been in contact with them personally and they are aware (and very thankful) we are doing this campaign.
