Every $20 donation equals 1 entry into the fundraiser.
Food Security is a major issue in Northern Manitoba communities. Due to increased food costs and limited availability, it is a challenge to provide adequate food to meet community needs. This time of year can be extremely hard for those who do not have enough to eat or struggle to feed their families.
As the dietitian for Churchill, MB. I have seen firsthand the issues of food security in the community. I am organizing a fundraiser to help collect monetary donations where 100% of the money goes directly to Churchill's Food Bank. The money collected will be used to acquire and ship non-perishable food items to Churchill, as well as provide ongoing support to the food bank throughout the year.
We are lucky to have the support of local businesses to help provide incentives for the fundraiser. First prize is a once in a lifetime Trip to Churchill MB for two. Second prize is a Family Night out at Boston Pizza. Third prize is an Assiniboine Park Zoo package.
