Hugs from Home - Support Our Troops

We are the American Legion Auxiliary Units 133 Huntington Beach and Unit 555 Midway City. We are a part of the world's largest women's partriotic service organization.
We are currently raising funds to support or project: Hugs from Home. Hugs from Home is a program in which we collect various sundry items, food/snack items, candy, games, and letters of support to ship to the soldiers that are stationed overseas. We are asking for donations for these items, as well as raising funds to cover postage for each care package sent. The current price of shipping is approximately $17.00, our goal is to send 100 Care Packages.
Since the program started in 2004, local Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops along with community organizations have sent over 975 care packages.
Our donation deadline is January 14th, 2017. On this date care packages will be assembled and prepped for shipping.
Collection boxes are located at Post 555 in Midway City. 14582 Beach Blvd., Midway City, CA 92655.
