Individually, we are three people with three different lives. But we are also three faces of PTSD. Together, we are the Human Hug Project.
Human Hug Project is a small veteran organization dedicated to embracing our nation's heroes and empowering them to tell their stories, one hug at a time. Human Hug Project uses their experience with isolation, anxiety, and depression (PTSD) to help other veterans cope with theirs – all through the healing power of a simple hug.
The mission is straightforward, "To bring awareness to PTSD and give love back to humanity, one hug at a time." The goal is ambitious, "To hug veterans at every US Department of Veterans Affairs Hospitals in this country." The call to duty is great and we can complete our mission with your donations and support.
In the last year we have hugged veterans, their families, and staff at 38 Veteran's Hospitals and with your help we can continue to #hugavet at the remaining 115 Veteran's Hospitals. Your generous gift of $1, $5, or $10 guarantees that we will carry out our mission, which is so crucial to combating our symptoms of PTSD. With your help we can achieve our goal.
