Fight for Heather

On April 4th 2018, Heather Potthast was diagnosed with a Brain Mass.  April 9th 2018, Heather under went brain surgery to remove most of the 3.5 CM mass.  A week later we found out she has a rare Brain Cancer which affects approxiamatly 200 adults a year.  Its called Medulloblastoma, which a type of cancer found the majority of the time in children, where it represents 25% of all cancers affecting children. In adults that percentage is less then 1%.

She's a mother of a 2 year old son who adores his mother.  He knows that mommy is sick.  Its been hard on him and her because she's been in and out of the hospital from regular medical floors to being in the ICU .

Just recently we learned that the tumor has grown some more since surgery. Also a second very small tumor has developed in her brain near the original tumor.  It also has spread to her via her spinal fluid and has developed several spots on her spinal cord.   Which caused her even more issues and more time in the hospital .
Do to the growth and the new spots developing,  her legs gave out while trying to descended the steps at our apartment and she ended up falling approximately 9 steps. Causing a gash on top of her head requiring approximately 15 stitches and a C1 vertabrae fracture and another stay in the hospital.
She requires a walker to get around when at home and a wheelchair when out of the house due to not being able to walk very far.
Starting next week she starts radiation treatments hopefully. But she's currently in the hospital in the ICU due to the amount of pain she is in from the cancer growing.

Together as family and friends and from unknown people we can fight this.  With your help be it prayers to post vibes or assistance financially would be wonderful and a blessing. We have been told by our insurance and the Doctors to expect out of pocket expenses to range anywhere from $250,000 to $400,000 dollars of the next year and half to fight this cancer.     Heather and I have also made a decision that when all medical expenses are paid . What's left would be donated to St Louis University Hospital for continued research to find a cure.
