The Alicemay Hope Foundation is a Lagos, Nigeria based nonprofit dedicated to providing quality, basic education to women and girls in some of the most impoverished areas of Lagos. The foundation equips women and girls with knowledge and skills necessary to adopt a healthy lifestyle, protect themselves from HIV/AIDS and other STDs and to take an active role in the community’s social and economic development.
The NGO is turning 10 in February of 2019, and we are raising money to hold fundraisers, awareness campaigns, community events, and to fund initiatives like our "Christmas Hampers for Her" as well as a new initiative we'd like to start that trains women in the art of starting, running and sustaining a business. At the end of the business program, we hope to award some of the women with seed money to begin their ventures.
The money donated would also go towards paying the teachers, vocational workshop instructors, and supples like notebooks, pens and pencils
