Fundraiser for elderly cat

An elderly friend passed away on 10/4 leaving his animals behind. Animal control quickly took them away. One of the animals was an elderly, 14 yr old cat named Buffy. Buffy had been with him since she was little and was strictly a one person, inside cat. She was in the house 4 days before they captured her. We of course fed her every day and made sure she was ok but she was so terrified being alone for the first time. After she was taken she was subjected to tests and shots and being handled by strangers. We finally got her out, on the condition she be taken to a vet immediately. More tests and prodding being terrified and handled. All she wants is her daddy and her own home and peace and quiet. 
She is now with us now in a nice quiet place. For a week she refused to eat and her eyes were the size of saucers. She never uttered a word and just slunk into a corner and had to be hand fed to keep her going at all. The good news is she's coming around. She's even meowing for food now and eating 2 small cans of Sheba a day plus anything else we can get get down her. We are trying to find her a loving home where she will be hugged and cuddled and reassured for the rest of her life. We had to pay to get her out of animal control, plus the vet bill and the tests and special food and supplements to try and keep her going. It was an expense we didn't expect to have of course and the other cats we care for take whatever money we have.
The elderly gentleman was also feeding feral cats that came to his house every day and of course we are continuing feeding them also every day which is also an added expense.
We ask for your help to try and pay these expenses so we can keep Buffy and the ferals well taken care of and pay the vet bill.
Any amount would help... there is no "too little" amount.
