Hello Everyone,
My Name is Sarah Smith(Olson) & my best friends father, David Prusa, of 20+years has been battling stage 4 pancreatic Cancer since the end of last year. This is his 2nd run at cancer and he is fighting with everything he has because he loves his family. He is a strong man with a wonderful wife I consider a mom & 4 daughters who are additional sisters to me. Dave worked up until the day he physically couldn't & it broke his heart to not be able to go back to doing what he loved working at a local Gun Range. He officially retired from being a Volunteer Fire Fighter Last year after 20+ years of service to our small town. His wife Toni has provided childcare to numerous people in town and has had to cut back due to Drs. Appointments & chemo treatments. Currently Dave is in the hospital for the 2nd time in a month and they have found the cancer has spread and spread quickly. Any help that anyone can give would be greatly appriciated. The Money will go towards the mounting bills that are piling up that Toni, his wife is beyond concerned about. Now Dave is a Stubborn man and would most likely hunt me down if he knew I did this but I know how much any help they could get would take a huge additional weight off of Toni, his wife's, shoulders. This family means the world to me and at this time our small community really could rally around two people who have volunteered so much of their time to the community to give back. Please if you can't donate monatarily say a prayer for Dave and Toni each day.
There is also a Spaghetti supper being served to benefit the family March 12th at the Waterman, IL Fire Station, 160 N. Cedar Street, Waterman, IL. It will include the Spaghetti Dinner w/salad, Fruit, Garlic bread. Dine in or Carry out. Suggested Donation $12.00 per person but really anything you donate will go to the family. There will also be a bake sale for your sweet tooth!
