Montez has served as a Volunteer Assistant Coach at Cornell University during the 2014-2015 academic school year and now serves as a Volunteer Assistant Coach at Pima West Community College.

Mission/Vision Statement

The mission surrounding Montez’ Go Fund Me Campaign is to successfully develop and finance a routine schedule tailored for a professional athlete. He seeks to eat, sleep, train, and recover effectively—all with the ultimate goal of making the United States 2016 Olympic Team. Your contributions will assist in his athletic achievements, help him grow his international visibility, promote American pride, and enhance the connection between Montez and fans.

Priorities, Values, and Guiding Principles that guide and facilitate future excellence:

Athlete Personal Development:
Montez remains vehemently committed to his own personal athletic development. It is of the upmost importance to exhibit mental and physical excellence as he prepares for an opportunity as life changing as the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

Competitive Success:
Montez’ endeavors to be the very best when representing his country, alma mater (Cornell University), and fans in training and competition. He vows to eliminate all distractions necessary to achieve his ultimate goal. Montez commits to remain focused, determined, ambitious, tenacious, and strong-willed; in order to achieve future success.

Program Integrity:
It is imperative that athletes demonstrate integrity in all endeavors. Montez will abide by all laws, rules, and regulations as stated—and continuously updated—by the United States Doping Agency (USADA), the World Athletic Doping Agency (WADA) and the University of Arizona, as it reflects the image of his training institution.

External Outreach:
In order to meet and surpass said goals, Montez will work with a variety of constituents to obtain financial support, market sports programs, promote his brand, and build strong relationships within America and throughout the world. With keen marketing tactics he will build media, personal, and financial relationships.

Value of Community:
Montez provides significant value to his local community. Many of his family, friends, and fans look up to him as a role model. He hopes to use this leadership privilege to inspire youth to use athletics as an avenue for academic success and to never stop chasing their dreams.
