Welcome to a website designed to help our local “good guy,” Jed Deters.  As many of you know, Jed is a country fella who will give you the shirt off his back – even if it is his last flannel!  He is a lawyer by day, but is a welder, carpenter, gardener, mechanic, friend, son, uncle, brother, husband and daddy by night.

 
Sadly, we know good guys do not always come in first.   Jed is fighting a very difficult and serious battle involving fourth stage kidney cancer.  This awful disease has spread to several other organs which required removal of one kidney and his spleen.  Subsequently, Jed contracted a serious infection which has delayed cancer treatment.   To see and talk to him, one quickly realizes he is not the Jed we once knew.  His quirky smiles and silly giggles are not as frequent and he needs lots of rest!

 

Many in our community have asked how Jed is doing and about ways to help.  We have developed this webpage in response!  Our goal is to bless Jed and his family on Christmas.
