Hank and Roxy Vet Bill Funds

Donation protected
My name is Joe Ellzey a.k.a. Max Perilous on Facebook. My wife Tanya and I have two amazing English Mastiffs named Hank (3 years old) and Roxy(10 months). We have been going through some tough times and we have just been running into some things medically with our pups we are having trouble affording.

Hank was recently diagnosed with a genetic disease called Cystinuria. Cystinuria can be a life threatening disease which causes stones to develop in his kidneys and bladder and can lead to blockage of his urethra and ultimately death.

We need to get him in to the vet to have him checked via ultrasound and xray to determine if he has already developed stones and how big they are. It's difficult for him to pass urine. He might need a surgery to push the stone back into the bladder to allow urine to pass.

He also might need a surgery to create a bigger hole near the base of his penis in which to urinate through that will allow the stones to pass.

Hank will for sure need to be put on a prescription diet for the rest of his life that will help prevent further stone formation by alkalinizing his urine. The cost for the food alone will be very prohibitive for us. He may also need medication/injections to help desolve the stones that have already formed and may need them again in the future should more stones develop despite his diet.

Our 10 month old Roxy went into heat. Our male Hank has been so determined to get to her that he has been destroying the house. This might also have to do with some seperation anxiety. He's torn up doors, carpet, even broken storm windows (both glass once and thankfully only the inside glass this last time), and ripped the doggie door right out of the door. Despite all our efforts and sticking to the two barrier rule, He managed to get to her.

We want to maybe try to have her litter aborted but is a risky and expensive procedure. We are worried if we do not abort the litter there may be complications with the pregnancy due to her young age, that may require yet another expensive surgery.

We also need to have Hank neutered to hopefully discourage his tenacious will to procreate(and tear up the doors and windows etc.) and so as to not pass down his genetic disease Cystinuria, to any pups he may throw. One vet says this may also help prevent the creation of new stones. When Roxy is 18-24 months we would also be having her spayed.

We have been struggling financially and have not had running water in our house for months now. We had the main water line break under the house and we racked up a $1500 water bill before we even knew there was a leak. We have been trying to save the money to pay the water company and to fix our water line but we keep running into medical problems with our dogs like recurring ear infections most likely due to allergies and now this genetic disease, and a possible accidental liter, but we can't afford to test to see what they are allergic to or take care of the litter and manage Hanks disease.

My wife and I are unable to have children and so Hank and Roxy are like our children. We want desperately to care for them in the way they deserve and despite our efforts we have as yet been unable to do so. Our house is being torn apart, our vehicles are falling apart and in need of repairs, we are so close to losing our battle with life and just really need a little help to stabilize our life and our fur babies Hank and Roxy.

All money recieved via gofundme will go strictly towards medical bills for our babies as a priority. To help afford Hank's prescription diet and medication. If there is any left over we will use any remaining money for getting our water back on for sanitary reasons, and vehicle repair so that we can make it to our jobs. We live in an area where public transportation is not available.

We all will be so greatful for any help we recieve to get us through these trying and tough times. Words cannot express how much we love our puppies. Hank is in dire need of imediate medical attention.

Thanks for your time and your kind help.
