House Fire Relief for Shayan
Donation protected
There are many words I could use to describe my older brother. Loyal. Hardworking. Inclusive. Convivial. But above all, Shayan Ibrahim is persevering. He’s like a rubber band, snapping back from every hurdle with even more tenacity. My pride lies in his fervor and ability to continue on to the next day.
Last week he lost everything he owns to a house fire.
We are incredibly grateful that the loss is just material, but calculating the damages has been nothing short of overwhelming. Like many of us, Shayan is just a young guy trying to make it. He faces the same obstacles we all do, such as substituting a turkey patty for a beef patty at Fudruckers. (It's never an easy choice.) His normal stresses, however, have been stockpiled by the strain of this tragedy.
The fire consumed high school basketball jerseys, movie collections, all the way down to toothbrushes. The funds will be used to afford the basic necessities such as clothing and toiletries, but also helping relocate to a new home.
I love my brother, and it would mean SO much to me if you donated. As we continue to help him recuperate, any bit of financial support will be a great help! Thank you and have a wonderful day! :)
