Hope For Harlow Cancer Fund

Hello, my name's René, proud guardian of my 8 year-old cat Harlow. Harlow was a rescue cat acquired through a friend in Philadelphia since he was a kitten. Nearly a year ago, we relocated to Southern California in hopes of starting a new life and experience new adventures together.

Unfortunately, Harlow was recently diagnosed with Lymphoma inside his abdomen. At first, his prognosis was uncertain, but after undergoing chemotherapy treatment for 2 weeks, his outlook has improved greatly. I'm overjoyed with emotion to know my cat has a fighting chance to beat the cancer, but at the same time, I'm under great financial pressure to support his expensive weekly chemotherapy sessions at the vet.

I'm asking for support to help Harlow's recovery. Any contributions made, will go directly to pay for Harlow's weekly chemotherapy sessions and other costs associated with his treatment (litter, cat food, medicine,..). It would mean very much to me (and Harlow) if you can donate. I wouldn't be doing this if his chances weren't good, but after knowing how positive his outlook is, I want to give him the opportunity to continue enjoying his life for many years to come. Any amount donated is greatly appreciated!

I'm very sad to announce my little fur boy is no longer with me. He was admitted to emergency yesterday afternoon and I had to make the very heart wrenching decision to let him go at around 10:15-10:30pm (PST).
He was still fighting for his life, but the chemo last Friday was too much for his little body to handle. He was extremely nauseous, vomiting excessively, and developed constipation. The doctor guessed the cancer moved to his kidneys and progressed from there.
He was my first cat, my best friend, and my bright light during dark times. I'll miss him immensely and never forget him.
I want to thank everyone who have shared and donated to our campaign. Even though it was a complete failure, we're fortunate enough to have raised what we could. I'll continue to have it active for a little while, to help cover the credit card bills accumulated during Harlow's chemo sessions. Again, thank you all.

Little fur boy had his chemo therapy session on Friday and is doing well at home resting and keeping warm. He's still eating on his own and working on getting his weight back up to normal.
There's been no sign of the tumor in his belly, but he's still anemic. He's also been prescribed medicine for softening his stool, so going to his box won't be hard on him. Thankfully he's been producing less painful results on his own, but we'll have the medicine on hand just in case. The doctor is looking to do another ultrasound in the future, to see how his kidneys are doing. Blood work was done and even though his kidney values are high, they weren't as high as his first visit. For now, we're going to focus on eating, sleeping, and trying to raise money for our next chemo session.
We're very aware 2016 has been a tough year for all, but we'd greatly appreciate everyone, if we can get a few more shares and some small donations to help keep us move forward into the new year!

Good news! Little Harlow is eating on his own again! He's been eating without a syringe for 4 days on Rabbit pâté...yum! Hopefully this holds up long enough through the remainder of his chemo therapy sessions!
One thing I've noticed, he no longer likes his old favorites (turkey, chicken, fish...), so I'll have to figure out a way to make him rekindle his cravings again, because spending hours and money at the pet stores, only to get back home and find out the little hero doesn't approve, can get frustrating. If anyone has any ideas on how to remedy this, please send me a message.
Now that we're back on track on our quest to fight, we still need your help with funding. Please share and /or donate to our campaign! We'd both be very happy and grateful for all the help we can get!

Sorry for the late weekly update! Harlow is alive and kickin', but he's still having trouble eating on his own. I've been trying to get him to eat various flavors, but he's been giving them all the paws down. For now, it's just syringe feeding, until I can find that "miracle" recipe/flavor that'll make him go crazy. He's also had his Cyclophosphamide pills administered and is resting comfortably in his new "bed" inside the wardrobe.
As far as funding goes, I was recently able to make some additional money from my sales of electronic music gear. If anyone is interested in seeing the list, please write me a comment/message for details.
If you haven't done so, please share or donate to our campaign! One social media share and an extra dollar donated, helps us! Thank you and we hope you all enjoy the upcoming holiday! Stay tuned for the next update!
