What Happened:
-Patricio "Pat" Salazar sacrificed his life to help a woman being sexually assaulted on a sidewalk in the dark of night. He is a through and through, 100% Hero. Pat deserves to be honored and recognized as such.
I came onto the scene and was with Pat after the tragedy took place and was with him at the end. I did not know Pat beforehand, but knowing what he did was more than enough to know that he was a wonderful and selfless person.
He saved this poor woman that was being assaulted. It's chilling to think what might have happened had Pat not intervened. He is a Good Samaritan if there ever was one.
The Goal:
-I created this GoFundMe for Pat's family to raise the funds for his family to at least cover his funeral, help support his family through this tragic loss, all while spreading the message of Pat's noble actions. However, I have no idea how much the funeral is and we can't put a price on Pat's heroism anyway so please don't think of the goal as a strict target. If his family respectfully declines the money then I'll return the donations because I don't feel it's my place to determine how the money is used beyond that. It should ultimately be Pat's family decision to use the funds however they want. I will update everyone before any actions are made though.
