G.W.'s Yorkie was Attacked (RIP)

Hello everyone,
Earlier this week my longtime family friend Georgette's Yorkie, Honey, was attacked and killed by a dog (Pitbull mix) that was wandering the neighborhood after getting loose from its yard. (You can watch Georgette's interviews with local news stations via the links below.)
Georgette, who is disabled, and Honey, who was leashed, were at home in the garage when the dog ran up Georgette's driveway and attacked Honey.
Georgette tried to fight the dog off of Honey, but was thrown from her wheelchair. A nearby neighbor heard Georgette yelling for help and came to fight the dog off.
Honey and Georgette were both injured, but sadly, despite the veterinarian's best efforts, Honey did not make it. ='(
The attacking dog was caught by the police and brought to animal control. The owner was contacted and relinquished their rights to the dog.
Georgette is absolutely heartbroken as she had to witness her best friend being attacked.
She is also now facing a hefty veterinarian bill, so any help whatsoever, would be greatly appreciated. And although she is devastated from losing Honey, she hopes to adopt another dog in the future.
