Homes for Syrians Emergency Fund

Hello! I'm Zahra Hankir, a volunteer at Homes For Syrians, a charity that matches Syrian refugees with spare rooms across the UK. So far we've successfully matched over 70 cases, however demand is growing stronger each week.

To enable us to match UK hosts and Syrian refugees faster, we're hoping to fundraise as much as we can to make essential improvements to our database system.

(Note: Our initial target was £1,500, but we've increased it as we're absolutely thrilled with the attention and generosity this campaign has received, and still require further funds to add a full-time case officer to the charity).

Any contribution you could make, be it £5 or £50 or more, would be fantastic. Each donation will help us get a step closer to giving Syrian refugees in the UK a roof over their heads.

This is a great cause with immediate on-the-ground impact and whatever you donate will go directly to the charity.

The project is a purely humanitarian effort with no religious, sectarian or political bias. We have over 480 hosts and 340 volunteers around the UK and have helped many Syrian refugees start to build new lives.
