Get Homeless Rapper a House

$1,695 of $60,000 goal

Raised by 82 people in 50 months
I Found this dude rapping on the Subway in Chicago. I filmed it & it went viral on Facebook, & YouTube, & Got picked up by world Star Hip Hop, Good Morning America, & Fox News.

We need donations to get him a house of his own. With all the attention he is getting I am sure we can do it.

I will help him buy a foreclosure at a great price & put a deed in his name.

We will film a video with him showing his deed & house when its all said & done.

Lets Do It!

1. Who you are
My Name is Cordell "Co-Still" Hunter
I am a recording artist, you can find my video's on Vevo or You Tube, Just Search Co-Still. Or Here

2. Where you're from
Chicago, Il (SouthSide)

3. Your relationship to the parties you're raising funds for. I am now friends with the Homeless Rapper known as SoLoW RedLine helped him get an Indi deal to get his music to the world via Wicked Entertainment

4. How the funds will be spent (be specific as possible)
A partner in making this happen is also a Real Estate Professional, so getting a house is very easy for him at a steal of a price. He also is going to advance any purchase money needed to make sure we don't miss out if we have not raised enough money yet. He will most likely buy a foreclosure that needs work so we will be using any additional funds for repairs  & remodeling as well as property taxes that would need to be paid for a few years.

5. How you intend to get the funds to the HomeLess Rapper. The funds would be administered by the Partners real estate company & used for Purchase, Taxes, Repairs & such. We will post up pictures with daily or weekly updates on the project.

Here are some articles that helped us get donations.

We are proud to announce that with the help of the donors & Wicked Entertainment we have secured a townhouse for SoLoW RedLine. Not a Temp place but a home with his name on the Deed. We have borrowed additional funds for the purchase & rehab & are in the process of paying it off.

With your help we will have it paid off & his property taxes paid for years.

Thank You all that helped, please share this everywhere.

We will post more pics weekly

My husband's name is Albert...AKA Rhythm who played the djembe in the subway for years and on many occasion played with Solo. First off, from what my husband says...Solo is one of the tightest that he's EVER heard. He was just underground for so long and the people around the city became use to having such GREAT talent but slept on it like they do many others in Chicago. Solo is NO crook...he really is about this music thing. I know because I remember seeing THEM GET UP SUPER EARLY JUST to get a spot in the subway so they could perform and make some money for the day.

Let me start off.. that video was great and I have no doubt this guy has pockets full of talent and could inspire millions with his positive music.. but then I see this "Album Cover" that makes you appears to be a mainstream artist? Makes it appear that your already already selling out to the nonsense of the music industry?

I just had questions. There are millions of dollars stolen every year through fraudulent causes and it is done through the naive. People are exploited for gain everyday and I'm sure you being a CEO in chicago would be familiar with this. To act like it is far fetched is disheartening. I simply had questions that anyone who is actually concerned about the cause they are giving to would. Transparency will increase peoples willingness to give. I am all for following your dreams and if it is God's will than it will be. It is not for me to judge your intentions I just had questions. "A fool and his money are easily parted" . Thank you for your answers and good luck with you endeavors.

Brandon, I know Solow. I have mentored him for years. I'd like to address your concerns so you be at ease and still give. My credibility (like it really matters) is that I won the Local Hero Award from Bank of America in 2008 (Google it) and was awarded $5,000 which I donated to an organization to help them get started. During that time I left Hip-Hop and I performed poetry in the subway for 14 years and I know Solow. He has performed and had his children there to provide for them right on the spot. I have bought McDonald's while he put in countless hours to make sure he provided for them. He recently lost the love of his life and needs to get a place to raise his children safely (unless you live under a rock, Solow stay in one of the most dangerous areas of the country. ..Englewood) I too wanted to hon my craft as a professional poetry and traveled across the US doing poetry. I never wanted to go back to corporate America. I had to. Hopefully he won't have to return. Let him follow his dreams and support his efforts. Why hate on a hero? It only makes him stronger. Do you actually have anything to give? I am a job developer. I help people gain employment. He worked side jobs because he was committed to his craft and needed the flexibility that a 9 to 5 would not allow, so he is not lazy. This man has gotten up at 4 am to secure a spot to rap. He is a go-getter. I will give to him and Articulite who has a page on my next payday. With or without you this ship is leaving the harbor for a nice trip! Hope this convinces everyone to give.

Brandon - 2nd questions and he made an album, that had to be mixed and mastered, studio time paid for, and he is selling it. YUP! I understand he might be doing bad but so are 100,000 other people. just help me understand why buying him a house and not paying for him to get cleaned up and apply for a job or something isn't more beneficial especially if he has a family to take care of. the music industry is very volatile and saturated. can someone help me understand? Housing is his #1 priority, without a stable place you can't even think right. As for a job, his job is an entertainer, on the subway for tips, kinda like the guy that plays the piano at a bar. Apparently people across the globe are feeling his music so why not live your dreams if god allows it!

Brandon--- Ok, how do we know that this money is going to him? Because it is! He is here with us. What is this homeless guys real name? Read the news articles its Joseph Lane what is your name? Dude its says Cordell "Co-Still" Hunter what experience do you have with buying homes? A Partner in Wicked Entertainment is a Real EState Professional As well. Why is 60k the goal and what house are you looking at for that 60k? It's a modest price but homes in Englewood go starting at 2k, check zillow. this seems kinda sus and I would hate for someone to be taking advantage of the kindness of strangers. Man, Stop being so negative, all this buzz started by the grace of god & positive energy & support from people globally, we would never do anything to kill our blessings.
