Homeless & Hungry College Students

Imagine being homeless and hungry...and a college student. Imagine not knowing where you'll sleep tonight and when - or whether - you'll eat.
They have all the college student expenses -- tuition, books, supplies, and food, along with all the college requirements and expectations, often while lacking a safe and consistent place to live and, more often than not, without regular meals. Some students can only afford to purchase the minimal meal plan = 5 meals per week. Can you imagine this?
No need to imagine. It's happening at virtually every university and college in this country, and the numbers are growing. Recent statistics show that close to 14% of all community college students are homeless and that food insecurity numbers at every higher education institution -- private colleges, Ivy League, state universities -- are higher and increasing daily.

School drives for supplies are underway for students in K-12 and with your help, we're going to provide college students in need with some of their supplies including: backpacks, folders, highlighters, 3x5 cards, paper clips, mini-staplers, personal care items, and individually-packaged food -- as much as can be purchased -- to help these resilient and committed students striving for their college degrees. And remember...they're children too.
Donations will be going to the following colleges, each of which has a food pantry to help students in need, estimating many hundreds of students:
~ Penn State Abington (formerly Ogontz Campus)
~ West Chester University (West Chester, PA)
~ Cabrini College (Radnor, PA)
~ Montgomery County Community College
(Blue Bell & Pottstown, PA)
We can help show these amazing young people that they're not alone, and that people care and want to support them as they strive for a better life.
One of these students could cure a disease, solve the next global issue, or make a difference in the life of another...just as we're doing for them. They need our help to get there.
No donation will be too small and every dollar will go directly to purchase the school supplies, food, and personal items they need.
Updates will be provided so contributors can see what we've been able to purchase and donate.
