Holly/Sam Swinton Disaster Recovery

The Urbandale duplex that Holly and Sam have called home for the past two years was overtaken by the flash-flood waters Saturday night.  The resulting structural compromise caused a gas leak which triggered a massive explosion and fire. (It's relatively famous in the local news cycle a this point.) Fortunately, Holly and Sam were not at home, and the family next door was able to escape unscathed before the explosion.  As I'm sure you have deduced, everything in their home was destroyed.  Their two pet bunnies didn't survive. Their clothes, furniture, wedding gifts, and keepsakes are all gone and will not be replaced by insurance.  Thankfully Holly's car will be covered, but that’s about it.  They so appreciate the people who have contacted them to help, and this site will serve as a place for any of you to do that. Those of you that have mentioned donating furniture and other home goods, please hang on to them.  They will definitely come in handy once they find a new permanent residence.   For now they are bunking in with us.
