IMPORTANT UPDATE: The store will not be locted in the shop across from Taste of India in the Cental Mall. Unfortunatley I was unable to raise money in enough time to lease it. No worries! I can still open a kiosk while I wait for another store front to open!

Have you ever had a long lost dream emerge and yell at you, "HEY! Now's the time!"?
Well, that's what has happened to me.
For about 8 years, I have dreamt of opening a store that sells home decor and clothing from all over the world. I was very hesitant to pursue this dream as there already existed a similar shop called Romancing the Stone (Earthbound Trading Company) in the Texarkana Central Mall. After I started a renaissance faire, had my two children and began a work-from-home job, I put my dream on the back burner and forgot about it completely.
When Romancing the Stone closed last year I was very upset that such a unique store was leaving and I know many of you all felt the same way.
After making a rare visit to the Central Mall a few weeks ago the idea struck me to open a mini version of my store idea in a kiosk but after speaking to the manager, I learned that a kiosk isn’t as affordable and I was hoping it would be. I was later informed that the mall does one have a space for lease: a tiny storefront right across from the the restaurant, Taste of India.
I went home and only played with ideas of opening my store there but I was still hesitant; and then it hit me: Romancing the Stone closes, the only space available for lease in the mall is small, great for starters and very affordable to lease, I have the knowledge of where to get global goods wholesale, friends and family who will absolutely support me AND the shop is in one of the busiest parts of the mall across from an INDIAN restaurant?
What on earth am I waiting for?!
I have decided to name my store Bohemian Bazaar and I will sell beautiful exotic home decor, clothing, jewelry, fashion accessories, belly dance items, global children’s toys, musical instruments and more! No other store in Texarkana sells what I will sell, my prices will be lower than Romancing the Stone’s, and my stock will change often as I bring in something new and exciting every month.
^These are just a few of the musical insturments I will carry.

I have decided to try my hand at raising funds to start my business by crowd-funding so that I can start off with as little debt as possible.
