Phone (for) a Friend

This is not for me, but for a friend in Germany who's come upon some hard times.
Recently, this friend's Samsung Galaxy Note 3 broke completely. It won't power on, and won't respond to any of the standard fixes; in other words, it's completely dead. Normally, it wouldn't be too hard to buy a new one, but he's pretty tight on money, currently living on a government pension because of certain PTSD issues.
This friend doesn't want to start his own crowdfunding campaign because he feels uncomfortable with the situation, but he gave me permission to start one on his behalf.
The goal here isn't anything crazy. He doesn't need the newest Galaxy S9+ or anything, but he does need a phone for calls, two-factor authentication, and the occasional YouTube video in bed. I'm hoping to raise €250 in order to fund the purchase of an Honor 7X, a pretty powerful budget phone that should last him a while.
It would be amazing to reach this goal, and get the guy a new phone!
