"Why is my hair falling out?"
In 2006, I was diagnosed with Hypo Thyroid Disease.... I was gaining and losing weight in a short time span. I was fatigue and exhausted from doing NOTHING. My hair was thinning out and my neck was swollen.
Your Thyroid is located at the base of your neck and it's shaped like a butterfly. Any dysfunction of the gland is considered to be an issue. From minor issues to life threatening issues. Thyroid disease is common in many woman and it also can be hereditary. My mom suffered from this disease THEREFORE I knew it was going to hit me or my sisters sooner or later.
5 years later in 2011, I FINALLLLYY decided to have surgery to remove one of my thyroid glands and to this day, I'm still insecure about the scar I have on my neck. Thankfully, my doctor gave me a small incision thats barely noticeable. However, TODAY I am heathy and my metabolism is where it needs to be.
