Kick cancer right in the kisser

I want you to meet my friend, Sabrina. I was so blessed to meet her at a camp for young adult cancer survivors in May 2017. We connected instantly over our faith. We have remained in contact and have been prayer warriors  to each other.  “A sweet friendship refreshes the soul.” Proverbs 27:9. Now it is my time to help my friend and I hope you will join me.

Sabrina was diagnosed in 2015 with stage 4 oral squamous cell carcinoma. It presented on her tongue like a canker sore that wouldn’t heal. She underwent a six hour surgery that removed half of her tongue and reconstructed it with muscle and blood vessels from her forearm. She ended up spending 10 days in the hospital and several months recovering and learning basic functions like talking and eating. Sabrina has an incredible voice and had to learn how to sing again. Surgery along with naturopathic options and much faith and prayer, her cancer was beaten back for about three years.

A few few months ago, her cancer returned back on her tongue. After much prayerful consideration and multiple opinions, Sabrina has found peace in her treatment plan. Instead of opting for conventional treatment, she is choosing to participate in a holistic clinical trial that includes IV vitamin C three times a week, hyperbaric oxygen twice a day, as well as continuing with naturopathic medicine and supplements. All of these treatments are not covered by insurance and are out of pocket.

Please consider donating what you can, every bit will be a blessing.

Crazy how just a few weeks can change so much in our lives!!

Since my last update regarding my MRI results, God led me to a surgeon who was willing to implant a right subclavical port so that I could receive more frequent treatment without the constant IVs through my hands (and all the issues we were encountering with my veins). SUCH a blessing and huge change! Recovery from that surgery was a little more challenging than I expected, but I'm doing so much better with it now.

More frequent treatment is already proving to be the right direction to go, and though I'm not done yet, I have so much hope for this route! The mindset is HEALING disease, rather than "fighting" it; allowing God to work through this journey as only He can.

So far, with YOUR help, I've been able to receive the treatments I need (hyperbaric oxygen therapy, PEMF, infrared sauna for lymph, high dose vitamin C IVs with other injections, so many different supplements including CBD oil, etc), cover the cost of travel expenses and doctor visits. I'm still about $12K short of my goal -- please keep sharing and praying!! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for everything <3

Hey all! This is Sabrina with an update -- here is what I shared on Facebook today:

"MRI results came back yesterday and I’m taking my time to breathe and process and pray. I know God has me on this alternative healing path for a reason; though it’s been a long, exhausting five months...I’m not giving up on what I know I’ve been called to do.

From what they can see, the tumor hasn’t gotten smaller and was very swollen. This could be from all the drainage, but swelling is also a natural part of the reaction to treatment which isn’t unusual. There are also pockets of cell death that my body is still working to flush out of the tumor area. Not shrinking yet though. (Granted, we only started a consistent treatment plan two months ago...)

The lymph nodes are swollen from dead cells and internal drainage — they’re doing their job, but I need to look at more ways to help them release and reduce the pressure because they’re not situated in great places at the moment. Please pray that the swelling will decrease and not cause any issues for nerves and arteries!

I will be continuing with the current treatment plan, but my doctor wants to up the dosage/frequency of treatment. I’ll be meeting this week with another doctor to discuss (hopefully) other options as far as how I’m receiving the treatment and what’s best for my body. (I can’t say enough about self-advocacy. It’s so liberating!!)

Please keep praying. I have a front row seat witnessing the power of prayer, God’s miraculous healing, and how He’s using my story right now. I’m not giving up and I’m not letting the enemy silence me. I believe my healing is coming! I WILL be victorious over this cancer! But no matter what happens, my purpose in this life is to give God all the glory and honor through my life, and to proclaim the name of Jesus and His sacrifice for us on the cross. He defeated Death to bring us LIFE everlasting. And I choose life. Every moment."

Thank you for all the prayers, support, and encouragement as I continue following God's leading and HEALING. This is truly a team effort and I am very humbled and blessed by you all!
