Hit and Run Threatens Livelihood

Donación protegida
My year from hell is getting worse.

If you're familiar with my other campaign, you know the story, up to that point.

Now, things are worse. Much, much worse. On top of everything, my fiance just left me a few months ago, in favour of someone else. I was forced to move three times in quick succession. Once, out of my home with her to a friend's, then out of that friend's house to my old bachelor pad, and then out of the bachelor pad to my current home when the pad got condemned.

Now, as you can see from the police report, I've been hit-and-run.

I was in the drive-thru at McDonald's, a car-length in front of the pay window, when the guy in the massive truck behind me revved his engine and slammed into my back bumper.

I don't know why he did it. I refuse to speculate. All I know is that I was bent over, getting my wallet to pay for my food, when my car jerks, my head hits the steering wheel, and my back feels like it's been lit on fire.

I got out of the car to see if he was okay, but he stayed in his truck. Tinted windows, dark windshield, I couldn't see him at all. I knocked on his door and waited a moment, and then turned to get my phone to call the police. He backed up, almost hitting the guy behind him, and then drove off. I gave chase, and almost caught up to him, when he hit South Carrollton Avenue and gunned it. All I got was his plate number.

I called the police, as you can see from the report slip, and thankfully, the gentleman behind the hit-and-runner, stayed behind to share his testimony with the police officer who responded to the scene.

That's where my good luck runs out. I was left with nothing more than a busted bumper, a broken taillight, popped nuts in my front left wheel well (apparently, unibody construction ripples when it's impacted, putting damage on the opposite end from the impact site), and a police report slip. I don't even have the other guy's insurance information, yet. So, I need to repair my car in order to work. I need to work in order to pay my bills. My most recent move and the end-of-the-month bills have destroyed what funds I had available. I can't even pay my deductible to put my car in the shop, or put myself in care to make sure my back isn't totally destroyed from this incident on top of the last one.

I need help. Please...I'm sorry to do this so soon, but life isn't being fair. I'm so sorry.
