Raised by 28 people in 7 months
FIRST Robotics Team, Vault6936 is a Beavercreek, OH High School team. The team was formed in Oct 2017 and with mentors help they have been learning basic skills in electrical, mechanical, design and programming.  The team is part of non-profit FIRST organization. FIRST stands for "For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology" and empowers students of all ages to get involved in STEM related fields. The First Robotics Competition combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology.  Every year the student based teams are presented with a game where they have 6 weeks  to design, build, program, drive a robot and compete. Regional and Championship competitions are held every year and are the ultimate Sport for the Mind. High-school student participants call it “the hardest fun you’ll ever have.”

On Mar 2-3 Beavercreek team Vault 6936 competed in their first competition at the Miami Valley Regional in Dayton, OH and  won 2 awards - Highest Seed Rookie Award & Rookie All-Star Award!!

Aiming for the Rookie All-Star award was our goal & we accomplished that with joint effort from students, sponsors, parents and mentors! This now qualifies us to compete in the FIRST Championship in Detroit, MI April 25-28 where the winners from regional competitions as well as wild card teams will compete - so Best of the Best teams will be there! What an honor for this rookie team!

We have one more regional competition at the end of March in Cleveland before we go to Detroit in April.

We secured some donations from sponsors for the Cleveland competition but need additional funding to attend the Detroit competition as well as expenses for transportation, hotels, meals and other miscellaneous expenses. Registration fee alone for each competitions is $5K.

We are so proud of the students as well as the mentors for all the hard work,  perseverance & dedication they  have put into this team after school & work hours as well as on the weekends. Being part of this team is a commitment and we appreciate everyone that believes and has committed to this team.

Thankyou so much for your donation!

Our journey continues and we are headed to Detroit Apr 25-28. We still need donations so please continue to spread the message for our team. The students are committed to spreading the message of STEM and will be involved in several community outreach events going to schools, Dayton air show, Airforce Museum, etc..

Thankyou to everyone that has donated so far to our Robotics Team Vault 6936 gofundme campaign. We have $925 raised so far in one week and that is just awesome!! We received a pleasant surprise this week! The Department of Defense gave us a $5K STEM grant for qualifying to the championship round which pays for the registration fee. We are very thankful to our FIRST regional director for pursuing this and for DoD for "granting" this request.
We still have ~$4K gap to help us with expenses for hotel, transportation, meals, parts, marketing and to help with a baseline for next season.
Please reach out to your friends and family and have your child personalize their experience with being part of the Vault Robotics Team. Our goal is to bring more students every year and impart the knowledge & experience to the new students. Thank-you for your support!
