Hidden Figures Private Screening

Hey family!  This is Yolanda Jackson, President and Owner of Cura Consulting and Management LLC. A very good friend of my sister Ms. Shay Moore, radio personality on Hot 103 Jamz in Kansas City, MO had a brilliant idea to take 100 girls to see the blockbuster movie Hidden Figures.  Her idea became a reality and inspired me to do the same right here in Georgia!!  My good friend and colleague Carmanita “Meshele” Shaw, CEO and Owner of the non-profit organization Consolation Help & Outreach Center, Inc. and I have joined forces to make this happen.  We have partnered with Henry County Middle School (HCMS) in McDonough, GA, where my son attends, to take 100 girls to see the movie.  We chose HCMS because of its S.T.E.M. program which teaches and encourages students to seek careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. There are many accomplishments that women have contributed to this nation and the world that have gone unnoticed and untold and Hidden Figures brings the true story to light of three African American women (Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughn, and Mary Jackson) who did just that and changed the course of space travel!!  We want to take these girls to see this movie to help them understand that women have tremendous ability and capacity for greatness.   If you are willing and able to help us take 100 girls from HCMS to see Hidden Figures please make a donation.  The cost per child will amount to $20.00 which will include popcorn, drink, and admission into the movie.  If you can help, please do.
