Katie Whitfield Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Katie Comer Whitfield passed away on Februrary 10, 2016 in her home surrounded by the people, and things, she valued most. She was loved and respected throughout the Elkton community, was a member of multiple civic organizations, volunteered her time in many capacities, and enjoyed her home, garden and entertaining family and friends.
To honor her life, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to this Memorial Fund which will be used to erect a gazebo in Elkton Riverside Park for community enjoyment. It is our hope that this will be a fitting memorial which can be used for weddings, special events or, simply, moments of solitude. Additional funds not used for this project will be donated to the Elkton Historical Society.
