DAYSHAL NEEDS A GED

Dayshal Dicks was featured in the PBS documentary "Wilhemina's War."  She was born HIV positive.  She lives in rural South Carolina, in a town of 3000 people.  As a schoolgirl, she was bullied because of her HIV status,  She suffered through side effects from the 24 pills a day she had to take to keep her virus suppressed.  She has been hurt, shamed, and disgraced, but she is still standing, even though she dropped out of high school.

Now she wants to go back to school.  However, she may well be learning disabled and needs to be tested and tutored so that she can get her GED and make something of herself.  She needs the funds in time to enter the next GED class in May.  It will mean a lot to her family, and most of all you'll be helping a young woman realize her potential.
