In March of last year John started feeling bad. Being an otherwise healthy male in his 30s it took a while to figure out what was making him ill. After growing increasingly sick throughout the summer, John received a diagnosis of melanoma in July. Surgery was scheduled for August and an 8.5lb tumor was removed from his abdomen. John continued to fight and receive treatment and in January learned that the cancer had returned.
Currently John is in a clinical trial for a new type of chemo to treat 3 tumors that have surfaced since surgery. He is receiving treatment at Vanderbilt and is required to stay in Nashville for the initial phase of his treatment. Luckily, John has family in Nashville so a place to stay is covered, but as you can imagine the medical bills continue to pile up. Due to his treatment he had to resign from his job and therefore has no income to cover his medical or everyday expenses.
Please consider supporting John financially through this time. All of the money raised will be used to pay medical expenses, and any other needs that may arise as he moves forward with treatment. The goal was set based on current medical bills as well as estimated future expenses. Please give - anything helps!
