Chaperoning Youth to WYD POLAND!

Hi friends!
My name is Zack Hohenberg and I've been asked to help chaperone a group of youth from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Farmington, NM to World Youth Day Poland this July/August for two weeks. I'm currently out of my previous career of youth ministry work and have my foot in about 5 different things to try and pay my bills so the trip didn't seem prudent. After dragging my feet because of the cost I was talked into it by the youth leader (you know how these things go) and am now trying to raise the money since there were not enough extra funds to pay for me.
World Youth Day is a gathering of Catholic youth every 3 years in a different location around the world and was started by St. Pope John Paul II. It's a weeks gathering of daily faith building and there is a large finale where Pope Francis will celebrate Mass on Sunday for over 1 Million youth and young adults from around the world. It's a pilgrimage... not a vacation. We will be tested by long lines of sweaty teenagers and foreigners who don't seem to use deoderant, it's not always fun, but it is always worth it.
Our group will begin in Poland, visiting the churches, shrines, and even concentation camps during our first week. We will spend the last week of our pilgrimage traveling to Rome and Assisi.
The money will be used for the following...
$1,894.00 - Airfare
$2,629.00 - Land Package, bus, and hotels/hostels
$400 - Personal travel expenses (meals, international phone, bus tips, etc.)
I need the funds by July 20.
This means so much to because WYD is what I believe started a rejuvination in the Catholic faith ever since it came to Denver back in 1993. If you go to the Denver Diocese you can still experience the fruits of this event through the many vocations to preisthood and religious life, biblical and evangelical institutes, and the thriving young Catholic presence. Wold Youth Day takes youth, and all participants, out of their daily routine and allows them to experience the Lord in a deeper, more personal way. Seeing a million youth and learning about the history of your Faith plants seeds in a person. It's a pilgrimage I will always support.

I will be excited to see why the Lord has chosen me to be a chaperone on this trip and look forward to getting to know the youth of St. Mary's Parish. Great things are in store for those who trust in the Lord. I appreciate any help through funds you can give but I ask that you please pray for us as our trip approaches and for the conversions of us attending. I will be offering all of my donors up in prayer daily in the morning office and at daily masses said. Please let me know if you have any special intentions.
