"Hazel" Vet Bill

Hello all, thank you for visiting my page. Today, on June 6, 2017 on my way home from working overnight, I came across an obviously injured pup sitting in the turning lane on Hwy 110. There were a few cars stopped to help her but she would not let anybody touch her, most likely due to the pain she was in.
I, having a big heart for animals like I do, felt like I just had to stop and see if I could help her. I threw my car in park, turned on my hazards, got a blanket out of my trunk and opened up my back passenger side door. She immediately scooted over to me, and with help from another nurse who had stopped to help, scooted her way into the floorboard of my back seat.
I found that she is microchipped but I have had no success in trying to contact the owners or anybody else who can help me locate them. The address is not current and the phone number is disconnected. I have searched lost and found pets pages and have yet to see any photos of her on those. I have a feeling that she was possibly dumped as she is very skinny and covered in fleas. On her microchip information, her name is Hazel.
Regarding her injuries - I do not know the extent of them yet but the Veterinary Tech said that her lungs sounded clear, heart beat was fast, but she was stable. She said that she would likely need to be sedated in order to get her wounds cleaned and sutured and to get some xrays to have a better idea of the damage that is beneath the surface.  She most likely has at least a couple of breaks in her left leg/hip, if not more.
Right now, my estimate at the vet is $500 for sedation, xrays, and wound care. I just want her to be comfortable and safe, and to get her fixed up as best as we are able to, given the circumstances. She is very sweet and she knew she needed help. If you would like to help with Hazel's veterinary costs, she and we would very much appreicate it - anything will help this sweet baby girl.
