The Rytkonen family fundraiser
Terri Rytkonen suffered a stroke yesterday which caused her to veer into a parked car. She was rushed to the hospital by ambulance where they have now found that the right side of Terri's brain has suffered massive, life threatening neurological damage leaving the left side of her body paralyzed. She is in surgery right now to alleviate further damage from the blood clot. Her brain is still swelling, but doctors are taking steps to prevent further damage. It's only been a few months since Terri received a new valve in her heart, and it is believed that insufficient prescribed amout of blood thinner allowed the clot to form.
Medically speaking, we dont know what to expect at this moment, but what we do know is that the Rytkonens will need money to make it through this tough time.
We thank you for your discretion during this time but all the love and support is of course welcomed.
Amazing how life can change in just one second, or over a short period of time. As it was announced, Terri Rytkonen suffered a major stroke yesterday. She has underwent a surgery today and through it all, remains the amazingly strong and brave woman I have had the pleasure to have known and loved for a vast portion of my life. Her spirits are up and we are all encouraged by every hurdle she has and will continue to cross.
We both would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all friends, family, metal community, and youtube community for pitching in or helping to promote the fundraiser that was set forth by my dear friends Austin Lunn, Ben Smith (Smasher), Jim Clifton, Tanner Anderson, and whoever else from my beautiful and sneaky band of brothers who were behind this. You all mean the world to us. This means the world to us. I am staggered. Humbled. Speechless. This community we all dwell within never ceases to blow me away.
Though much uncertainty awaits, we are moving forward with positivity and love.
Thank you. Thank you. I don't know what else to say....
