Help The Hocks

Donation protected

Last night, as many of you know, a tornado unexpectadly ripped through Cape Coral, Fl.

Close friends of ours had their lives changed overnight and are in desperate need of help.

David Hock of Cape Coral, laid on top of his 87 year old mother on the floor of her bedroom last night making every effort to protect her while the torando ripped through their home.
It dragged his truck from the driveway tearing through the garage door and up through the roof. It was tossed over the house and into the back yard where his boat flipped on top of it. Both his boat and truck are destroyed as is most of his home, and the majority of their furniture. Thankfully he and his mother made it out okay.

David's daughter, Brittany, reached out to a SWFL mom's group on facebook asking for help recovering salvagable items from the home.

The help that arrived was amazing. Cola cooling donated a trailer to help move furniture and salvagable family treasures, and totsl "strangers" brought food, water, and donated their morning to helping dig through the debris and load salvagable items into the truck...
It was unbelievable to see so many people willing to do what they could, but unfortunately the struggle is only beginning fir the family. All of the belongings that were saved are being stored spread out through friend/families homes but there isn't enough space and it is making it impossible for anyone to live comfortably..

David and his mother are staying with their children, but they can't stay for long. David's mother is sleeping in her 3 year old  great grandaugthers bedroom, for the time being, and she is confused about where she is, and where her belongings are...  David is staying with his son.

If you are reading this, and can donate even one dollar to the help the family, it will go a long way.

All money donated will go toward storing their belongings, and all of the costs of moving into a new rental, getting new furiture, and starting  over from scratch.

The family and their friends can not thank younenough for your generosity and support during their time kf need.

truck got pulled through the garage door from the driveway, then up through the roof and flung in to the yard where the boat landed on top of it..
