**** UPDATE: I have created the hashtag #gosusanmoore on Twitter, so people can find information on Susan easier. PLEASE tag your tweets with this hashtag! THANK YOU!

Hi, I'm Stef Michaels, better known around the globe as "Adventure Girl". Because I live on Twitter, I found a tweet about a woman, named Susan Moore, from a small town in Kentucky.

Because she can't afford the $5.00 each way to get her to her mandatory dialysis treatments, which she has to go to 3x times a week, and medicare will no longer cover her trips to and from, she HAS to die. That's $30.00 per week, she simply can't afford on her limited income.

I don't know Susan, but have been moved by her story to help her.

I was taught, that if you can help just one person, it soon becomes a pay it forward movement.

So, I've set this page up to help Susan as a start, to not only drive attention to the medicare plight in our country (USA), but also hopefully to help the many others, who need our assistance.

Here's is Susan's story on Kentucky's NBC Affiliate WSAV3:

Thank you,

Stef Michaels

Happy Birthday Susan!

Today is Susan's birthday. Sadly, she is spending it in the hospital with some complications due to her illness. Sent her flowers and a bday balloon to cheer her up.

I'll keep you posted on how she is doing.

Happy Monday Everyone! GREAT news to share with you. We have completed all the hoops we have had to go through to get Susan the money raised from all of you! There are so many people to thank behind the scenes as well. Barbara, Bruce, Tracie-- how could this have all been done without you? I have no idea! And, the team at GofundMe, who worked tirelessly and patiently with us-- making sure all the steps we did were done correctly.

WE did it everyone. Susan now has hope and a better life because of your endless generosity. Words are simply enough to explain how wonderful you all are.

I recently had a surgery I am recovering from, and now finally back on my feet to get to go see Susan. I'll keep you all posted on when that happens and share photos and videos, too.

Hi Everyone!
Happy Valentine's Day!
I wanted to update you on what's been going on behind the scenes!
We've been working with Susan's attorney, which I found for her on setting up a trust and finding a trustee and now a settlor for the trust.
As soon as the paperwork is filed, GofundMe will transfer the monies you all have been so generous to donate, into the fund.
The fund will pay for all of her medical needs, transportation to and from her appointments and things like other doctors appointments other than her dialysis.

I'd like to send a shoutout and thank you to everyone at GoFundMe, who has helped and supported all of this for Susan.

I'm planning for a visit to Susan and her clinic in the early spring. It's just too cold for this California girl right now to head east!

I'll update you all when I have more to share.
What a journey this all has been!

Happy VDay!

Happy Holidays Everyone and Merry Christmas!

This is a little long of an update.

Before I leave on my trip today, I wanted to loop back in and let you know I am just off the phone with Susan.

Because of you all, she's HAPPY.

We chatted about her eye exam, which she got today. Remember, how I set her up for free glasses through an organization, she just needed an eye exam?

Well, she found out that she has a hernia in her right eye, so they are sending her to see a specialist to help this.

It sounds like this will need to be corrected first, before she gets her new glasses. But, her new glasses are going to happen!

All is good with her attorney, Bruce, and she has a beneficiary, which these funds will go into a trust and overseen by. YAY! All papers will have to be notarized, so I called the clinic where she is having her dialysis, and they have a notary on site, so that's just one more hoop we jumped through to get things done.

I had sent her those Omaha Steaks boxes for her Christmas dinner, and when I asked her if she was staying home for the holiday, she said yes! And she was planning to cook! I told her, "wait, it's your turn to relax!" She told me she would have help.

What's amazing about all of this, when we all came together for Susan, she had no other option but to die because Medicaid had run out for her.

She was hopeless...

Now, she gets to celebrate Christmas happily. YOU all made this happen. You created a Christmas miracle for her.

You gave her hope.

So, I raise my cyber-glass to you all. I wish you all the love and warmth, together with your family and friends for an amazing rest of the holidays and New Year.

You all have added to Susan's life, and mine, too, and I can't thank you enough for being here and supportive.

For now, hug your loved ones that much harder, laugh that much louder, and have the BEST of the rest of 2017.

I'd also like to take a moment to personally thank the team behind all of this and helping this along so much.

Ms. Tracie Potts-- the original reporter from NBC National, who told Susan's story. You are AMAZING, and kind, and I can't imagine partnering with anyone else to help Susan. Jenna G from Gofundme and the rest of the team! Your efforts and support are immeasurable in helping others. And, Bruce Brightwell, Susan's attorney, who hopped on board without a thought and who is an angel, thank you. And, for the Mountain Comprehensive Clinic's staff, who endlessly helps Susan and so many others... THANK YOU!

And, of course all of you... XOXOXO

Much love from the bottom of my heart!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
