Hello Plaza Deli customers, friends, and family. Our family owned business is having a unexpected issue, and we are in need of your help. On December 9th, after our lunch service while we were cleaning the place, we heard a loud noise from the stove, and found out the electrical failure from the stove caused a spark and started a little fire internally and totalled ruined the stove, oven, and griddle unit. It is now unfunctioning and dangerous to use. It seems to be not repairable. This equipment is the heart of our deli operation. It is all in one unit, which has stove, oven, griddle, and exhaust hood, so we have to replace the whole unit. We did receive the most affordable estimate on new equipment, and the equipment itself costs about $20,000, and it would cost almost another $20,000 for install, serviced and fire inspected. It happened unexpected, and we were not ready to prepare for a huge investment on new kitchen equipment. December-March is the most slowest time for the business, and we really cannot afford to come up with $40k. I know it isn't the commercial grade, but we will have to bring in little griddle that is meant for home use until we get a new equipment. As everyone know, we do our best to cook delicious foods at our small kitchen. With our nonfunctioning stove, we will have to modify and take many items out to be able to operate the store. Although a little home use griddle, and a microwave are all we have right now, we will do our best, but we won't be able to meet the quality of the food that we have been cooking. We can possibly come up with equipment cost $20,000, but other half, we won't be able to come up due to slower season of the business. Please help Plaza Deli rebuild our kitchen.
