New England Baptist Academy has reached a critical situation financially.
For over 30 years, NEBA has been dedicated to quality Christian education for our young people. However, the current trend of low enrollment in small private schools has taken its toll. Several of our sister schools throughout New England will be closing after decades of providing sound Biblical and academic education. Others will be offering only televised or work-packet based classes and curriculum.
Our desire is not only to continue the ministry of New England Baptist Academy, but to also retain the traditional teacher-student classroom system historically proven to be the most effective educational method.
Because NEBA is a ministry, we keep our tuition significantly lower than that of other Christian schools. However, because of this we have been lacking the funds necessary for paying the staff and utilities to operate. With money raised from this campaign, we hope to reinforce and revitalize the programs and opportunities offered at NEBA, in order to compete with larger public and secular private schools in the area.
We also need to update our classrooms to adapt to 21st century technology as our A BEKA curriculum is now offering many e-books and other electronic teaching tools. This can only be done if we have outside help, beyond the tuition payments of our faithful parents.
The only way to ensure that NEBA remain open in these coming years is through the generous giving and support of friends, alumni, and fellow supporters of Christian education. We call upon all who have had their lives touched by a Christian educator or mentor; those who understand first-hand the value of caring, compassionate, and godly teachers; and those who have experienced how NEBA or a similar institution can impact a life.
We believe there is no viable alternative for traditional Christian education. Dedicated faculty and staff have devoted their lives to this cause, and the fruit of their labor is evidenced through the personal testimony of NEBA’s many graduates.
