help Miguel rebuild his home fund

Donation protected

On July 24th of this year my good friend Miguel and his parents (Miguel Sr. & Maria) were victims of a malicious act of crime as his house was burned down for a second time in 8 months. Imagine your home and all that you hold dear that it protects. Think of how many treasures in the form of furniture, clothing, and basic elements required to sustain and maintain a life from food to materials for work. Now imagine all of that being taken away as you helplessly walk through the debris left behind from a senseless crime. Miguel and his family lost the little that they had as a result of this fire, yet they continue moving forward.

Per DNAinfo.com (click on link below for more details), two individuals were apprehended near the 3100 block of South Lowe Avenue. Police believe that these individuals may have been responsible for a series of fires that took place in the Bridgeport area including the fire that left Miguel and his parents homeless.

This family has remained resilient time and time again as they have battled through obstacle after obstacle that life has thrown their way. Anyone who knows Miguel’s story knows that this family knows the meaning of loss and has been inspired by the way Miguel and his family continue to strive amidst the hardships they have lived through. All who’ve encountered Miguel consider him to be a man of character, honorable and humble in all his ways. He is the friend who is always supportive and caring during a time of need. He is the person who brightens your day and motivates you to continue forward when you are down. This family that has lost so much continues to support so many others as they try to once again rebuild and start again.

We are starting this GoFundMe page to help this family rebuild from all that they have lost. Repair costs exceed what the insurance can cover. However, your donation can go a long way in helping them get back on their feet. Although we know nothing can ever come close to replacing all the things the fire destroyed, we can come together and help them continue to move forward.
