Help Me Get Back on My Feet: A Journey of Healing and Hope

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit, asking for your support as I try to rebuild my life from a series of devastating events that have left me struggling to get back on my feet.

In 2019, my world was shattered when I lost my little sister to suicide, followed just three months later by the death of my brother from a drug overdose. These two tragedies took a toll on me that I’m still working to recover from, and during this time, the world around me was also changing dramatically. As the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I found myself isolated, with limited support or resources, and struggling just to get by.

Then, in November 2021, just as the pandemic was beginning to ease, a fire broke out in my apartment building, taking everything I had worked so hard to rebuild after the losses of my siblings. The fire destroyed not only my possessions but also any sense of stability I had managed to find after years of heartache and isolation.

Now, after all of this, I’m still trying to pick up the pieces. The emotional toll of losing my siblings, navigating the chaos of the pandemic, and then losing everything again in the fire has left me with very little. I’m still finding it difficult to secure employment, and every day feels like a struggle to meet basic needs like food, clean clothes, and shelter.

This is why I’m reaching out: I need your help. My goal is to raise enough funds to cover the essentials that will allow me to focus my energy on finding stable work and becoming self-supportive. With your support, I can begin to rebuild the foundation I need to move forward—starting with the basics like food, clothing, and the means to look for employment.
