Archive Ellicott City Flood
These two really great people need some support right now. I worry about how my friends will be able to pay for life's necessities, that they will need for the foreseeable future.
Jason McMillan is one of the kindest and most helpful people I've had the pleasure of knowing. Now a lifetime of collecting records and vintage audio equipment that he poured so much time, love, and energy into has all been taken away, along with his home. Any donation amount is respected and appreciated. Please help Jason and Kelly.
Note, this is not the same Jason that there is currently a gofundme for who owns the toy store "all time toys" these are different people who were both terribly affected by the tragic events in Ellicott City.
Thank you for reading this and thank you for any support you can offer them.
The purpose of this update is twofold. The first order of business is to say thank you to everyone who has donated to help Jason and Kelly! Your messages of kindness have often been personal which is why I have not responded in the hopes that Jason will personally respond to you since your messages have been for him and not myself.
The second purpose is to make everyone aware that the fundraiser is currently suspended from taking in more funds due to Jason's temporary inability to link his store email to the payment processor for whatever technical reason. If you have any questions about this fundraiser please get directly in touch with Jason by sending any inquires to his store email account: email@example.com
Thanks again everyone!
Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed to this fund! Every dollar makes Jason and Kelly's recovery less stressful, and for that I am grateful.
So many of you have left incredible messages of well wishes and kind offers to Jason and Kelly. I am not surprised, because they are awesome people!! Many of your messages have reflected personal stories written directly for them and with this in mind they will soon be taking over the moderation of this GFM. I am so glad I was able to get this fundraiser up and running for them, but even more glad that so many people have been willing to help them on their difficult road.
I donated $550 because its the amount of money I would probably have spent in the store the remainder of the year. I was just there Saturday before the storm and Jason wasnt there. I know youknow you probably dont recognize me but every time im in your shop you take time to talk to me abut music and complement my purchases. I really love your store more the you could know. There is always great finds. Its always like you stacked the shelves just for me. We spend alot of time in EC in all the stores restaurants and bars and are usually down there every weekend even if its for a quick breakfast. But as soon as I heard about this I instantly thought of you. My heart sunk because I know how much this store an everything in it means to you. Im so sorry for your loss. I hope I can do anything more to help. I cant even come up with the words to describe how upset I am so I cant imagine how you are feeling. Stay strong and hope to hear from you soon.
