on behalf of James Moss
 GOODLAND, KS
This go fund me is for James. James is an extraordinary father and man. He came to Denver colorado last month from new York, in hopes of making a better life for his son. Well the tables turned on him. This didn't turn out how it was suppose to be, leaving James and his son homeless and car-less. In the first two days James was here he happened to run into an amazing man named Leon Logothetis. Leon travels the country performing random acts of kindness. He and James shared their story and Leon helped him with a weeks stay in a hotel and 1,000 dollars. That's been a month ago. Today when I spoke to James and Leon, James is currently in a shelter with his almost two year old son. He currently has a job as a barber but has no reliable transportation. We are trying to raise money for James to get a reliable vehicle with the brutal colorado weather that is coming so that his son won't be out in freezing temperatures walking to work with his dad. (James takes his son to work with him currently because he's in need of daycare). Lets make this happen for him and his son and show him some love and that there are still good people left in this world.

Gofundme asked me to give some extra details so here they are. If anyone has questions please message me!

Just thought I'd post a quick update. Thank you everyone for your donations and interest in James. He and his son are doing great, they have gotten a vehicle and are doing great things for the community by giving back. Thank you to the host family that they are staying with until they find what they need. I personally am about to start a new project which I have shot the idea to Leon and his management team. Leon thinks it's a great idea so we just have to go through management and get some help :)
What we are going to do is, create a new gofundme page in hopes to raise money for the homeless. Instead of just receiving money for blankets, clothes and food we hope if we can get enough support that we will be able to help with deposits for housing, clothes, food, vouchers for hotels and things along those lines. This will all be done over facebook. We will be making a facebook page something along the lines of, "National Homeless Help" . This could be a really great thing. I get messages from people almost every single day needing help and I'm only one person and can't afford to help everyone or I would. If you are interested in this project in helping, donating or even helping in a different way such as donations in hotels etc, please email me. Maybe we can get this started soon! Thanks everyone!

DENVER AREA!!

Tomorrow on Saturday James is putting together a little food give away in the park for homeless or people with no food in the Denver area. They will be there handing out sandwiches and such from 10am until they run out of food. Here's the details he texted me!

Civic Center Park 101 West 14th Ave Denver Colorado from 10 o'clock until food runs out. Call 7207052674 if anyone wants to donate or be a part of this. This a temporary number James will be using for today and tomorrow. Please only call if you are able to help!!

Just a little update. James received $20,000 yesterday, of what gofundme owes him. He had requested funds over the weekend and at the time there was only 20k on his gofundme. But now he can make another request and get another 20k!! Thanks everyone for your continued donations .it means the world to him.

Many of you keep emailing asking what else you can do to help. The simple short answer is: donate, pray, share our page and help others in the same situation.

Some aren't as lucky as James to have so much support. There's always someone that needs help in this world. So feel free to help them as well. And remember never look down on someone unless you're helping them up. You don't know what the situation is or where they've been in life.

Until he gets a reliable car, I will be more than happy to either pick him up and drive him to work or pick him up and take him home. I just went through 6 weeks without a car and it was ugly! So happy to have wheels again. Denver is really hard to get around it, even with good public transportation. Let me know. Inbox me on Facebook.

Hello I have a gently used carseat that James can have and a stroller i barely used too. If you guys send delivery information I will gladly send it to him. Also, as it may, I have a baby boy too, who has outgrown his baby clothes, shoes, coats, etc. I can send you those as well. Please let me know how to get these items to him. Side note, most of the clothes and shoes were barely worn, and purchased brand new.

If gofundme take 7.9% and $0.30 per donation, then we should try to raise a little extra (commission and fees) so James gets the full $20,000. Come on y'all, James touched our hearts for a reason, his son (angel) is more than enough reason for us all to dig a little deeper.

Thank you so much Kayla for the update. I hope he can get over $100,000, new car, and new furniture. That this money can help him put a dowpayment on a condo or small house he can own, stability is everything to someone that has been homeless. Can a media outlet be contacted for him maybe they can help spread the word; so that he can have a house mortgage free also. Blessings to you and your family Kayla.

My husband, Gabe, and I used to live in Denver and we had a monthly project where we fed the homeless in the "Triangle" area by the DRM and Samaritan House. We have since moved to Greeley (about 1 hour north), but we continue to do our very best to offer what we can to those in need. I don't know how to contact Mr. Moss, and I don't have a lot of funds to share, but I DO have a warm home, plenty of space, kids for his toddler to play with, tons of food and love, and am willing to share it with them. You are more than welcome to share my info (all of my contact info is on my FB page) with Mr. Moss. We are happy to drive to Denver to pick him up, if needed, and extend a hand. We've been one paycheck away from being on the street MANY times. We lived in a 1 BR apt for 3 yrs, with our 4 kids sharing the BR while we slept on a futon in the living space. We know what it's like to be at that point, and it's scary, especially when you have kids. We just want Mr. Moss and his son to know he has friends in Colorado, and we're happy to help as we can.

Pursuit to Happyness is one of my favorite movies and your situation and the movie reminds me to hold your head up as high as possible. In fact, higher than you feel is even possible for the sake of our children for a better life. I'm a single mother too with a daughter whose 2yrs and her father is believed to have a mental breakdown. Since my love was born, he has not given us anything. I sometimes get angry but I'm reminded by God that if I didn't choose him, I would never have my daughter in my life. Lord knows I wouldn't trade her for nothing. I SALUTE you James because your strong, and because you are my hero. I will never give up on my Black Brothers in fact I will always love yall no matter how this world may pitch us against one another. Love
