Saving Jill and Joy

This fundraiser is for two female mules that I happen to come across on facebook who were in a killpen. They are Jill and Joy who are about 16-17 years of age. They are located in a killpen in Louisiana. They were moments away from being shipped to Mexico to be used for their meat. I tried to wait for a rescue to pull them but unfortunately they ran out of time. So instead of watching these beauties have a horrible ending, I have decided to try and rescue them on my own. I believe they still have plenty of good years to live and they deserve that. Any money raised will be used to save them and get them back to being healthy (and hopefully finding a loving home). They have a long road ahead of them with a quarantine stay and transportation out to North Dakota. Any amount is helpful and greatly appreciated. I will try and keep everyone posted on where they are and how they are doing! I have never done a killpen rescue before so this is all new to me. I really felt inclined to help these two though so its worth trying! Thank you so much!!
