I WANT TO INSPIRE CHILDREN TO BE HEALTHIER
As a foster child, exercise was my saving grace in more ways than one.
It made me physically strong, yes. But more important, it made me emotionally strong.
Being able to run a mile, and then two, then three empowered me in a way that nothing else did.
It made me realize I could make things happen for myself. And I did.
That foundation enabled me to work my way through college teaching fitness classes. I then opened my own gym to help even more people find their personal strength.
Today, I’m empowering others as a personal trainer, and at the same time working with children to teach them how fitness can change their lives.
I’m at the point now where I want to deepen my work with children through a series of books I’ve begun.
I’ve published four on my own, but need your help publishing the next 16, and then getting them into schools.
You see, as much as exercise taught me to have trust in myself, I have also learned that there is also great strength – and power -- in helping one another.

What the Go Fund Me campaign will be used for: The illustration, publishing, and distribution of the remaining 16 books in my 20-book series to children in schools. I am looking to raise $5,500 per book, a total of $88,000 to complete the series.
The main character is Trainer Tim who delivers a different inspirational message in each book.
Each book educates as well as entertains, with the goal that pre-elementary and elementary age children will get the simple tools necessary to become educated in the need for fitness.
It's time now for strong characters such as Trainer Tim!
He is a positive and inspirational force for kids with a unique take on honesty, awareness, responsibility, curiosity, imagination and trust, all needed to reinforce a child’s positive image. He educates on how exercise affects kids’ bodies, schoolwork, play time and overall outlook. He stresses the importance of fitness and how it leads to self-confidence, motivation and health. Self-esteem is taught through positive reinforcement through exercise and play.
Why did I create Trainer Tim?
My journey began when I earned my degree in Physical Education and Kinesiology at Kent State and then furthered my education at NYU where I worked with children with congenital and traumatic disabilities. I was able to apply my many years of studies and experience while creating the Trainer Tim series. I have been blessed to have 30 years of experience working with organizations such as Easter Seals, March of Dimes, and Athletes and Entertainers for Kids.
I am devoting my efforts to bringing back the core values to children’s lives. I want to share these values with children through my Trainer Tim series.Please donate to this amazing project because you will make a difference for generations to come. Every donation is helpful and a step towards creating more health and fitness awareness for our youth.
