Help Duda Survive Chronic Kidney Failure

6 years ago, Duda was diagnosed with a disease that affects lots of dogs worldwide, called Irritable Bowel Disease. I was told by many (MANY!!!) vets to “let her go”, to “put her to sleep”, they said she wasn’t going to survive another 3 months.... no one thought she was going to make it, except for me and my parents. We knew my baby, we knew how strong she was and she made it. She came back stronger than ever, the happiest pup I know, so now we would just have to manage IBD.Unfortunately, due to the amount of medication she was on to control her IBD, her kidneys started to fail - terribly and very quickly. We didn’t recognize the symptoms at first, so we just thought she was “moody, tired, sad...” I knew there was something wrong; she would go from very active to very “sad” too quickly, completely spaced out, and weak. So one day we were out on a walk, and she was acting fine, until we came back to the car and she collapsed. After rushing to the ER I found out that her kidneys were shutting down, so she started subcutaneous fluids immediately and I continued them at home. One more time, she came back strong and bubbly, and happy, and I was the happiest mommy on earth.Fast forward to a few weeks ago, after running a bunch of tests, her kidney values - for some reason we don’t know - went up again too fast. Unfortunately at this time, she isn’t responding well to subcutaneous fluids at home, and she is also on antibiotics, nausea medicine and we have been feeding her with the help of a syringe since it’s so hard to get her to eat. I’m trying not to break down, and trying to keep my hopes up, but the vet told me that she will need to go to the hospital to get IV fluids for at least 48 hours so they will be able to manage her disease and run more blood work. The idea of setting up this GoFund Me page happened at the minute I heard how much her 48-hour treatment was going to cost. I felt hopeless, I would never be able to afford all the cost, but the look in her eyes tells me she is a fighter and not ready to leave this world yet, so I will do whatever it takes to keep her here with us.
