Help Christine Ilieva

Christine Ilieva was born on 20th of August 1997 in Sofia, Bulgaria. She started modeling at an early age and quickly became one of the Top Models in the country. On 12th of March 2018, after going back to Bulgaria to be with her family and friends before heading to the USA for work, Christine was involved a heavy road accident as a passenger in a car driven by a friend, which left her in a life-or-death situation for days. Bulgarian doctors managed to save her life but a lot of other operations had to be done, which greatly endangered her legs. The consequences of the accident are enormous and she is still recovering from them.

In the beginning of February 2019, almost a year after the terrible accident, serious complications happened during her physiotherapy, which once again puts Christine`s legs in danger. Due to the severity of the situation, the treatment needs to be continued for at least another 9 months and will cost additional 100,000 EUR, which her family simply cannot afford. For the next two months twice a week deep cleaning of the upper skin layer needs to be done to keep it sanitized so new skin could slowly be created (all while Christine is under anesthesia). After that the implants need to be removed and new muscles to be build and old one to be extended as well as tendons and ligaments to be brought to normal functioning. If all of this goes well and no further complications occur, starting in October at least five plastic surgeries for scars removals need to be done, which will all take around half a year, if not longer. All these procedures need to be carried out as quickly as possible and should not be interrupted or Christine might never be able to walk and live normally again.

Due to the fact that the website does not yet support funding to Bulgarian bank accounts, I am officially authorized by Christine and her parents to collect funds in a British account and transfer them every week. If requested by the supporters, all expenditures can be proven by invoices or protocols. There is also the possibility to conclude a donation contract. We will be extremely grateful if you help us bring Christine back to normal life.
