Italian Tourist Murdered in Ark.
On Friday, July 28, 2017 Carlo Marigliano was murdered in Little Rock Arkansas. Carlo, a 31 year old married father of 2 young children age 2 and 8, was visiting from Italy. He had been staying with family then went off with some friends to tour the US. At this time we do not know why he was in Little Rock, but while he was there, according to police reports, he was driving his rental car and was shot, then his car slammed into an apartment building. They have not found any witnesses. It is so sad he came to visit a country he loved only for his life to be taken away for no apparent reason.
My name is Doris, Carlo is my cousins cousin (John Sulmonte, who you will see in the news stories below, is my cousin and Carlo is his cousin on the other side of the family). With his family's permission I have set up this request to help defray the cost of getting Carlo's body home via the airlines to Italy and assist with funeral expenses. John, who is the spokesman for the family and is assisting with the translation
Carlo's father and brother in law flew in from Italy to claim his body and meet with the police. They will be flying back to Italy as soon as arrangements are made to transport the body back to Italy. We expect the costs to be astronomical.
Carlo was an easy going young man with a great smile and a bright future. He loved his wife and adored his children. He was the 36th homicide victim in Little Rock this year. No donation is too small. Your donations are needed and very much appreciated.
John Sulmonte, who lives here in the USA, is the family spokesperson, because as you are aware, Carlo's family does not speak English. 100% of Funds will be deposited to John Sulmonte's account and transferred directly for deposit to the account of Ciro Marigiliano in Italy, by August 30 or sooner if we are able to hit our goal. Once the transfer is complete, proof of the transfer will be available by request.
